Our favourite way to start the day is with a warm cup of herbal tea with turmeric and lime, and we also love a good cup of coffee.
What better way to have a coffee (other than black) than to have it as part of your keto diet. In other words the health benefits of coffee with a bit of high healthy fat.
Disclaimer: Coffee has many good health benefits but with all things in life it should be drunk in moderation. We generally have coffee every other day and keto coffee only every few days, as although keto coffee has good benefits it is still high in calories so if you’re trying to lose weight then don’t have it every day!
Our Keto Coffee Recipe
2 tbsp of heavy cream
2 tbsp of coconut oil
1 cup of coffee
Make fresh ground coffee for the best taste. We use an electric grinder for the beans and then make it with a french press.
Add cream and coconut oil to a bowl and pour the hot coffee on top and whisk it.
Pour into a mug and enjoy!
